What is the "next big thing" after "AI" hype subsides?

After that... Who knows? Maybe hype will go back to mechanical stuff like robots, flying vehicles or nanotech.

You heard it here first: Electron Squared or simply E^2: run Electron apps within Electron itself. Will open up a whole new industry (and RAM factories will drown in money).

Completely programmable microorganisms that interface with humans.

And in the research paper, in prominent display, will be the explanation of how this feat was accomplished using AI.

Worker productivity augmentation. The labour shortage is not going away and while businesses are paying the increased wages now, they will eventually want to get more from their employees, even if they cannot fully automate them.

Most of the comments here claiming to know really don’t know themselves. The fact is, No-one knows but it almost always requires a genuine breakthrough and not false flags.

Remember the LK-99 hype that quickly subsided? I don’t see a single post about it and everyone immediately lost interest.

Perhaps when we see such alleged breakthroughs materialise with actual proof instead of capitalising on hype and false results, then your question will be answered.
