What skills from life/hobby/work do you regularly apply in other areas?

I'm curious to learn about the skills that you've acquired in one area of your life (work, personal life, hobbies, etc.) that you've found yourself using surprisingly often in other areas.

For example, maybe you've picked up project management skills at work and found them useful in organizing your personal life. Or perhaps a hobby like cooking or gardening has taught you patience and attention to detail, and you've found those skills helpful in your professional life.

Please share your experiences. I'm particularly interested in skills that you use frequently I.e. daily or weekly. And skills can be broad, I’m including intangible skills too.

I like to pretend that my musical education (including performances) helped me when speaking in front of people. There is probably not much to it except from a little boost in self confidence, but it is a nice thought.
