What shape from nature would make an interesting soapstone carving?

I have a piece of soapstone about the size of an 8” apple pie. I want to carve it but have very little artistic skill, so can’t do the usual bulbous shapes (a seal, a polar bear, a whale).

I can do something which requires constant analysis and refinement. What shapes from nature or mathematics would make a good sculpture?
