Why is Google Bard so bad at elementary level stuff?


I'm trying to use Bard for weeks but to my surprise it's incredibly bad. No programming questions, just general interest stuff.

Just one recent example from today:

"Can you make me a best 11 cricket team from players active in the 21st century?"

And then it gives me a list of 13 players

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but how can it be this bad?

That sounds characteristic of AI as a whole. I've had GPT-4 misnumber lists before too, you gotta roll with the punches.
