What Will Programs/Apps Replace Twitter Integration With?

As you know, numerous programs are integrated with Twitter in some way, whether they're CMSes that allow you to login with the service or auto share content there, games consoles and media devices that let you share screenshots and clips there or any number of other systems.

So that made me wonder... what are they going to replace this with? Relying on Twitter/X going forward seems like a bad idea given Musk's track record here.

Are options to share content to Mastodon or BlueSky or Threads going to take over? Are most developers and companies just going to rip out any Twitter related functionality without a replacement? Keep using it until the whole system collapses?

What's going to replace Twitter for these types of integrations anyway?

Colorado Dept of Transportation runs some bus routes along I25 between major Front Range cities. CDOT uses Twitter I mean X for rider alerts. If you don't have an X account, you can't get the alerts in chronological order. This is a good example of the problem, and CDOT doesn't have a solution.
