HACKER Q&A

Worst outcomes with self-driving being hacked?

So, what if/how/etc scenarios are going to be exploited in self driving cars..

An executive/politician gets into a car and it gets hacked to either kidnap or kill them...\

How can you be sure a self driving bot hasnt been IED'd

etc...

Not fear mongering, but its as just as important as crypto comms...

But what will happen when the first assassination happens via a hacked AI car

Worst outcome is that such an event leads to regulations stunting the development and use of autonomous vehicles.

Autonomous vehicles will eventually save tens of thousands of lives a year, but public perception will be based solely on the lives they kill.

car theft might become incredibly easy.

neighbor pranks: "someone takes my car and makes it do uber at night. its there in the morning but its like a public toilet"

flash mobs of hijacked cars jamming downtown areas to impede emergency response to $bad_behavior

parades might need heavier blockades

Rules for thee, not for me.

Executive/politician security teams aren’t going to be buying self driving cars for their clients.

Or some script kiddy gets access to self driving modules and drives them into things/people...

so - cyber security should be all over this? I havent seen this at all in media, I take that as a bad sign.

Well, depending on the situation it could start World War 3. But what is the point of borrowing trouble?
