Shared messages, chat, task tracking, calendar for family


The tracking of everything that needs to be done for family starts to feel very disjointed. We use facebook messenger for chat, google calendar for calendar, asana (free) for tasks.

Asana is too expensive to justify it's cost for family.

Any suggestions on something more integrated, suited for family needs? It can be paid, but I cannot justify $11/seat for family things that asana asks.

We can easily move from FB for messaging, if we will need to, but google calendar integration is a must.

Google Workspaces can do all this. You can add extra personal accounts as "Family Members", and, for an annual fee, you could also subscribe to Google One, though I believe this would be optional.

You can share one One account with the whole family (up to six members). I pay $19.99/year for 100GB. I maintain 3 alternate personal accounts who are my "family members" lol.

You'll also receive access to live, responsive, literate support techs via chat and phone.

Nextcloud maybe? You can host it yourself, and it should tick every box you're looking for. It even has group chat/call/video, though I haven't tried it and can't vouch.
