How to get rid of the bad habit of using CTRL and S
While coding, I use this combination almost every time I make several changes. Are there any good remedies to get rid of this obsolete habit?
Why do you feel it is a bad habit? Is it because your editor persists recent unsaved changes itself?
I manually save almost anytime I do even a minor context change.
I don't really think it's that obsolete, it's not like it's a lot of cou time or disk wear. The auto save is really good these days in some apps, so I see the point of stopping, but it's also not that great in others.
A bigger issue is accidentally doing it in a web browser. Since when is saving a web page so frequent it needs a shortcut? Savings pages barely works at all on some sites!
I feel CTRL S is one of the best computing work habits you could have, even if there is an autosave.
Don't let good habits die out.
Have control plus s hard power off your computer every time you hit it
Assign the shortcut to beep or some intricate modal
