Does anybody use telepresence robots?


Back in the 2016s we have a weird experience with a customer giving us control to two telepresence robots on his office. I don't have any positive experience with that.

Then, I speculate that could be useful when a team join physically in a place and someone couldn't join it. Probably one or two members, not more.

Are you using them? What do you think? I find that some of them are in the $ 500 - $ 5k range [1][2][3] which is prohibitive but I could think this can be much much cheaper.

I was most impressed by Sheldon's use of a telepresence robot in one of the Big Bang Theory episodes. That was very funny as well as a good introduction to the uses of such robots.
