Any tech lawyers up in Toronto?

I'm a U.S. citizen [who happens to be in Nicaragua] and worked for a Toronto-based cryptocurrency company (for 1.5 years), who recently underwent a merger and I got laid off. No big deal, we saw it coming.

I received this in an email, "In accordance with your contractor agreement, your final pay will include a 14 day notice period payment. "

Now, I haven't received any sort of last payment from the company and they aren't responding to emails.

So I'm under the impression that the money isn't going to just show up in my mailbox or bank account without me doing something proactive.

I've also received a number of shares into this new arrangement they have, but not sure if I can even redeem them.

I also had a Bonusly account through the company, that I never was given access for, which was worth a few hundred bucks I guess.

All in all, I guess that the value of what I'm owed is a bit over $10K (checks combined w/ stock shares), so I'd like to figure out what I can do.
