Internet data YouTube usage in Laptop vs. VM


Can I expect to consume less Internet data if I watch youtube while connected remotely (with SPICE) to a VM, instead of using my laptop?

I just discover that Spice (vs VNC, noVNC) render pretty well audio and video, and I have a monthly data plan during the summer, so saving Giga helps
