Anyone else seeing ChatGPT scam ads on Twitter?

This isn't meant to diss Twitter. But it's worth knowing about the many ChatGPT + chrome extension scam ads floating around on social these days. I found this one running as a Twitter ad, but similar ones are likely on all ad platforms. I find it hard to believe someone would fall for this type of scam, but it must be working well enough to keep running ads.

The ad [1] takes the user to a website [2] where they're prompted to join the beta to test a ChatGPT browser extension that helps create Google Ads. The website links to a github repo [3] with instructions on installing the extension in developer mode. On quick glance, the extension appears to log clipboard and keystrokes. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

[EDIT] The Twitter ad [1] has over 7M views since June 27, 2023.

yup, already reported on them on GH yesterday. They took them down after one hour.

Now they are up again just now: https://github.com/Ads-Managers/AI-Powered-Ads

No response, since yesterday. Well, verified and paid subscriber Elon... won't go down that easily
