Any good iPod Nano 7g cable inear headphones with remote?

Hey HN,

I'm looking for a new pair of inear headphones with a cable remote (yes, really!) in the NON-High-End section (about 25 bucks).

This is very important to me because I tend to listen to audiobooks when my kids are asleep and while a bright screen would maybe wake them up, bluetooth eats up my iPods battery and tends to fall out of my ears. I really want a cable...

In the last years I tried several high quality alternatives to the casual Apple EarPods Headphones. To be fair, the original Apple EarPods worked best but they are of such a poor quality, that they mostly break after several months.

It does not depend too much on sound quality but more on usability and durability (those shitty copycat EarPods from china are not what I am looking for).

Are there any alternatives, that are affordable, good quality and support ALL the remote buttons (volume+, volume-, play_pause and the play codes dblclick=next, 3click=prev, and so on)???

After some more research, for now, the ones I've found that may be the right choice:

  SoundMAGIC E11C
  1More E1001
  Beyerdynamic Soul BYRD
I think I'll go for the SoundMAGIC E11C and check if it works with the iPod and then try the other two. Thank you.

Monoprice.com usually has a few perfectly reasonable headphones like what you're describing.
