A lot has change over that past 15 years or so, but honestly I never visit this site anymore.
I know this is a "how long is a piece of string question", but any ideas why? In some ways, I'd love to do it again.
I was just thinking the other day about Ars Technica: they published a quite technical article about Ethernet, and I was taken a bit aback, thinking that I haven't seen such an article since years from them. Looking closer, it was a republished article from like 6 years ago. They used to be more technical and less political. Times change.
I think in the past 15 years HN has changed, and you have changed too, but not in the same direction.
You're asking people who are still coming here (otherwise they could not answer your question), why you are not coming here anymore. How should we know about your motivations? And if you would want to know from others who stopped coming, shouldn't you ask somewhere where those people are (although I don't know where that would be) ?
Maybe a better question would be to ask why people are still coming (maybe in contrast to why you feel it is not worth it anymore).
