She's been a combat medic on the Ukrainian front for the past year. And by front I mean going to the zero line and literally dragging the wounded out under fire, treating them (knuckles deep in flesh), and getting them transport to base, or a hospital if possible. She was personally there for the liberation of Izyum last year, has treated wounded on top of a BMP while it was dodging Russian shells and tanks, and has seen every kind of war crime and atrocity the Russians have inflicted so far (phosphorous rain is particularly nasty on human flesh).
In short: A badass.
She's also German, and unlike the Ukrainian soldiers can leave the military at any time as a foreigner, but she's committed to staying until the victory parade.
