What’s with all the paid advertising for Apple Vision Pro?

Seeing ads for Apple Vision Pro following me around the interwebs. Leads to a very long and complicated sign up page with tracking.

Interestingly, can’t seem to find the price anywhere on that page…

Why would Apple need to pay to promote something? Simple as better understanding demand to determine supply? Wouldn’t price be important to include? Why not take pre-orders? So many questions!

I don't think there's a real answer anywhere, but my guess is that it's not about selling the product per se. They want to introduce the concept to people, get them used to it, so non-owners don't cause a wave of bullying like what happened with Google Glass, whose users came to be known as "glassholes" [1].

The Apple Vision Pro is expensive ($3499) and they need to get lots of interest to promote adoption in order to recoup their investment in developing it and make it "the new shiny thing that everyone wants".

Apple has always had a healthy marketing budget. I don't see this was weird
