What resources are available for a non-designer to get design criticism?

I am primarily an engineer, and never really designed a website. I am iterating on the looks of the website directly in code. I _feel_ like it looks Okay, but then I compare it to other sites and it looks "meh", but I can't necessarily tell what's 'different' so to speak.

What are resources that designers are using to get feedback on their WIP stuff?
