Has anyone tried to design a 3D UI for a text editor/word processor?
By this I mean using 3d in an interesting way for editing documents/code.
I'm very interested in this. There's been nifty advances in node based programming in places like Unreal Blueprints and CG tools like Blender/Nuke. Outside of specialized environments nodes haven't caught on (you can build entire programs in software like Simulink but). Curious if 3D structured editing could be a new way of doing things.
