Why the post is hidden from the public view

I recently submitted a "Show HN" post, but I can only view it while logged in. However, I haven't received any information about whether my post is being reviewed or the reason behind its current hidden status.

I'm curious to know why posts are hidden. Additionally, I would like to understand if this affects the post's position in the "new" section once it becomes visible to the public.

You did not provide a link to the post, so I can only guess that you may mean this one:

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36195191

In which case the reason is the "[dead]"at the start of the title. It has been "removed".

I can only guess at a reason, but my guess would be that it looks like an advertisement.

There are numerous reasons why posts are not publicly shown. Email hn@ycombinator.com to ask about yours if you like.

You can enable "showdead" in your profile settings to be shown these hidden posts and submissions.
