I'm 55 and am finished with a startup I co-founded because the hard work is done, and we're not headed for geometric growth.
I don't have a compelling new idea; have ample tech skills, but want to focus on operations, communication and marketing; am financially independent but won't invest money.
I've no network in the startup area and been a successful university teacher and quantitative researcher.
Ideally, I would find a small team with a vision and a reasonable chance of success. More importantly, they should be committed, competent and non-jerks,
I know lot's of people have ideas; what would you do in my place in terms of finding those with the listed qualities who'd be interested in me?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Thanks for every reply, I'll start reaching out to individuals soon; if you mentioned mentoring or accelerators, some specific examples would be helpful to me.
I’m always looking for folks who want to be involved. Folks who come from a diverse background and can challenge my beliefs, actions, and ideas.
If you’re interested in hearing a pitch, it’ll require an NDA, you can hit me up at ct@christophertimberlake.com
So look for an accelerator in your area (either geographic or domain) and see if you can volunteer for the next cohort.
If you are interested I am very happy to talk to you
