What are startups doing about twitters $1k/mth charge to advertise?
The startups I advise are getting messages from twitter that they can no longer advertise unless they go through the twitter verification program. Originally it was just twitter blue that was required ($8/mth), but now it seems that twitter requires all advertisers to go through full verification. This is $1,000/mth - I'm wondering if other startups are paying it, or if you're no longer advertising on twitter?
I didn't use Twitter advertising that much but it's been so much less effective for me recently that I stopped using it. I'm curious what other people's experiences are.
Even before Musk, did Twitter ads have good conversion rates? I mean Twitter was always much smaller than Instagram and Facebook for example.
