What enterprise-ish solution would your company pay money for?

MAANG "expat" via recent layoffs.

Interested in launching a F(L)OSS project people would actually benefit from and that could be monetized in a fair way without locking features away from self-hosted noncommercial uses.

Ideas:

0. Modern Linux cluster distro. Batteries included (backup, DR, security, analytics, and alerting), turnkey k8s with support for CUDA and OFED.

1. CoreOS-alike immutable distro with novel features including FUSE synthetic configuration files configurable either by TUI, CLI, API, or web admin.

2. {{Your idea here}}

A tool that legitimately put project status and client/ticket highlights into a meaningful single pane of glass that could be referenced so everyone was always on the same page. I’m not sure what that would ultimately look like, but being in the MSP world, the biggest issue I see faced is growing to the point that people no longer have any idea what others are doing and end up offering five different opinions for how to get from A to B while it turns out projects is already working on deploying a solution.

I’d love a calendaring system you can share with anyone in the world with an email that you can be updated and easily decide what you want to see

It may exist, I haven’t found it.

I’d also like a non SaaS for printing to zebra printers for fanfold badges from an iPad; I may actually try to write that one myself.
