Are existing SNS fulfilling the roles they’re supposed to play?

I think they have mostly succeeded judging by the large number of people addicted to social media, or believing they have to use social media to stay relevant.

In some ways, yes. But I think there are areas where they fall short.They were supposed to bring us closer, but they seem to be causing more division than unity.
