Maybe there are fewer opportunities for creativity when your focus is on learning rather than creating something novel?
Maybe you don't even know whether you are creative as a result?
Maybe less respect for learning might result in more creativity?
It really depends on your approach to learning. If you're just learning in the rubric style, taking a checklist of topics, assignments, like school, yeah that will reduce your creativity. But if you're just exploring and playing with new things that pique your curiosity, the way a child learns before school, the opposite is the case.
