I have a pretty low-mid end Android device and over time performance started getting pretty bad. I clear cache daily which helps a bit but overall things are still far from idea.
I know HN tends to have a lot more affluent users but for those of us who can only afford a cheaper Android device, do any of you have any tips / tricks to improve performance?
My experience of Android phones follows along your problem. Sad to say I never found any solution over a few months to stave off having to hard reset and by the time I did the phone was taking in order of near 10 minutes to boot up.
The most recent was a 2018 / 19 android phone which was quick to nudge concerns all was not well in the android world. Ultimately apart from rooting the phone and placing a fully functional working version of android on it, I found the only option was a hard reset. I tried whatever tools out on the web I could locate that might actually clean up the cache - while I uninstalled every app I'd added as the internal memory filled with hidden junk.
You won't probably won't find a helpful solution offered apart from rooting your phone for a better android version.
