How did you train for your first 5k/10k?


I’m new to running and am curious what you have found to work when starting out?

"Zombies Run: 5K Training":

You get to play the role of a "runner" in training in a zombie-filled post-apocolyptic world.

It's a well-done story to help make fitness more like a fun game. Running from zombies to help save the world can be quite motivating and enjoyable.

My wife used a free technique called something like “couch to 5k” which works well. It get you to progressively improve from a short distance up to 5k - google it and take a look. Best of luck.
