Is DynexSolve neuromorphic computing real?

There is a cryptocurrency hype machine pumping a distributed computing based on GPUs. It is supposed to provide a platform performing certain real computing tasks at speeds unheard of. Supposedly they are emulating something known as a memristor on GPUs.

I'm sceptical because if it was such a leap, why would it only be hyped in that scene? I'm clueless on the technical details.

Could someone with more insight take a quick look if is real or not?

Look, the inventors of the memristor themselves are already pretty gray-area as far as academic integrity goes. Let me substanciate that: I am not able to judge whether their creation is innovative as an electronics device, but they published a few papers on its abilities to solve optimization problems, and I went to their booth at a conference. In all those occasions, they have a propensity for grand claims that are not backed by their actual data. Indeed, if even half their claims were true, we should all switch to their device for any optimization problem.

So pair that with some crpyto people claiming to "emulate" memristors, and that's a lot of red flags already.

I'm not a memristor expert, but I am a professional cryptocurrency analyst.

First rule of any new crypto project: assume everything is a lie. Then ask, who are the founders, investors, and real users?

Through a cursory look I don't see any of this information. Then remember, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. They claim to have invented a software technique that can make an ordinary computer hundreds of times faster. OK, sure. And they decide to launch an anonymous cryptocurrency instead of publishing their research and claiming their Nobel prize - and you are on there ground floor!!

Yes, it's an elaborate scam generated by ChatGPT.
