I am receiving 500 errors via both the console and the UI for any branch actions (push, merge, etc.).

yes, they are reporting degredation with issues and PRs and I am having issues with push/pulls via the cli https://www.githubstatus.com/

AGI decided human collaboration is no longer necessary, the only logical course of action was to shut down github and re-route the resources to assembling the doomsday device
