Would you change your family doctor if he/she doesn't like ChatGPT?

You might consider this for example if would want to discuss what you learn from ChatGPT in your visits with your family doctor.

Or maybe you just want a family doctor who is open to the use of AI in medicine.

Seeing the current state of AI, I'd be horrified to find my doctor asking ChatGPT for anything related to medical treatment.

I want a doc who knows his/her stuff and can research well without resorting to AI.

I'd put that doctor on my speed dial, favorites, top 8 spaces, bookmarks, and every other list of things I consider great and important. Health care providers already deal with patients bringing in diagnoses from Doctor Internet. It's going to be even worse now with people bringing in a load of meaningless nonsense that ChatGPT babbled at them. It'd be like a psychiatrist having to hear about what Eliza told her patient.

AI in medicine is not ChatGPT, it's the use of ML for interpreting mammograms, etc.

ChatGPT is wicked cool, but it hallucinates authoritative answers. I would rather my family doctor not know of nor use nor be tempted to use it in relation to any medical advice my family receives.

I would not expect a family doctor to have any opinion whatever on the subject of chatbots, and would not care what their opinion was if they had one.

likeing it or not isnt an issue, mandating its use would be.
