Can I switch stacks without decrease in salary

I am a PHP developer who is reaching the salary ceiling for PHP senior devs, and am considering switching to another stack (Java? Go? Python?). However that would probably mean starting at a lower level (entry level?). Has anyone done this without a decrease in salary?
