Are you using an AI powered search engine daily, and if so which?

Saw a few. Phind, You, Kagi, and probably more I'm forgetting.

Are you using one of these daily and more than Google?

Personally I'm using GPT for search more than google, but haven't tried any of the AI powered search engines.

I assume that you mean Large Language Models (LLM) when you say AI.

I tried Phind and Kagi, but I prefer Bing Chat.

Google is now my last resort solution, when ChatGPT and DuckDuckGo/Bing didn't return anything relevant.

Not an AI powered search engine, but I'm using an app called "TranscribeMe" (https://transcribeme.app); it converts voice notes to text (for WhatsApp and Telegram).

It's a wonderful tool for those who don't like voice notes. And long voice notes are summmarized by an AI :)

Google search is AI-powered and has been for many years.

It's weird.

When you search something, it typically takes a few tries and scanning through a few results to find what you're looking for.

People are reading Bing Chats / ChatGPT fetched answer and assuming it's always the right one, or the exact one they were looking for.

How often do you search something and nail it on the first try?

Search engines didn’t show me quickly enough how to view the battery cycles of my Mac.

ChatGPT gave a perfect description

I actually just prefer to use ChatGPT then a search engine if I need to double check, can’t trust its response, or want to look up an actual thing.

The probability that BingGPT give me the right answer in 1 shot is higher than I look for it myself.
