What do you think of this AI based Software for Students

We are to introduce AI-powered (chatGPT) software designed specifically for students! Our software serves as a virtual study buddy, offering a wide range of features to enhance the learning experience. We have already developed the core part of the software, working on the deployment and we eagerly invite your valuable feedback.

Here are some of the high-level features of software we have been working:

Personalized Study Partner: Just like having a study partner, ChatGPT uses AI to analyze and understand the documents (pdf/ppt) uploaded by the student on any topic of their choice. It then builds a comprehensive knowledge base to engage in interactive discussions and provide insights, explanations, and summaries to help students grasp even the most complex concepts.

Dynamic Flashcards: It allows students to create customized flashcards on any section, topic, or concept from their documents. These flashcards can be used for quick revision or self-assessment, and the student's progress is saved in the database, enabling them to track their improvement over time.

Interactive Quizzing: Students can quiz themselves on any section, topic, or concept. Our chatGPT powered AI model generates interactive quizzes with a user-friendly interface, allowing students to answer and select the correct options. The right/wrong statistics are saved in the database, providing valuable insights into their learning progress.

Expert Assistance: Need help with assignments or explanations on a specific topic? Students can simply ask the AI to explain any topic, write summaries, or provide guidance on assignments, making it a reliable and accessible source of expert assistance.

We are three friends who are passionate about creating an this learning tool for students, and we sincerely value your feedback. Please don't hesitate to share your honest thoughts - we are open to constructive criticism. Thank you for your support!

Quick thoughts:

- Identifying a specific age group or academic level, such as high school or college students. This will help you focus on the product development and marketing efforts to test on the most receptive early adopters.

- Incorporating adaptive quizzing algorithms will set it apart from existing solutions. By tailoring question difficulty based on a student's performance, you can provide a more personalized and engaging assessment experience.

- Go light on features and focus on the one thing (or a few things) that make your product stand out than existing tools. Test them with early adopters, and see what work and what doesn't. Iterate and refine. Pivot if necessary.

Sounds like a great idea. But I have couple of things to add looking from business prospective: 1. Is most of the coding done and feature is available? Do you have a product demo piece or some Proof of concept(POC)? 2. Can this idea be stolen? Is it easy to replicate? how can you make your product unique(first in market, popular in college etc)

My final thought to it is that, rn AI is a popular field and lots of engineers(some laid off from MAANG) are jumping the wagon with ChatGPT.So, I would recommend get started and working. Atleast create a POC and then you can go ahead and "think about creating this learning tool"

I think these are all cool ideas, but seem like independent tools rather than a comprehensive "study" product. Being independent tools isn't bad either, it just means you have to (get to) market them uniquely and tailor each one to the type of users that are attracted to the tool.

Sounds a great Idea, Just wondering when it is rolling out, or any small video clip representing the implementation of this feature, like Proof of Concept kind of.

probably you know this already, but khan academy was one of the companies partnered with openai. they have had early access to gpt-4 and have been working with them already for probably more than half a year
