What analytics tools are you using for your projects?


Hey everyone,

I am working on a side project, and there are so many analytics providers in 2023, and it’s hard to gauge what is actually popular today.

What analytics tools are you using for your projects?

Are you using more than one provider together?

I am tracking all my websites/products in a single place (https://uxwizz.com), both the quantitative data (stats/events) and qualitative data (session recordings).

If you are asking for product analytics, you do not have a lot good alternatives: - Posthog - Amplitude - Mixpanel

I would recommend Posthog except their customer communication is a nightmare. You can only talk to developers who answer days later after your query on Slack. They need like an Intercom feature.

The reason we are still using them is the session recordings. It lets you watch what users are doing

GoAccess to analyze logs in a terminal and some interactivity as well. It was a big step up from manual analyzing (which I think still has its place as well).

It's open source.

I use Google Analytics across all my projects, and Matomo on a few client projects.

I am considering exploring Plausible and a few others currently.
