Sales tracking and inventory management tools?

Emporia Energy is a Colorado company that sells smart EV chargers and home energy monitors. We are selling about ten thousand devices a month through Amazon and Shopify and we need better tools for sales tracking, managing inventory across warehouses and forecasting demand (since physical product takes months to manufacture and ship).

We are debating build vs buy. On the buy side we are considering BrightPearl and MRPeasy. I’m reluctant to distract the software team with building internal tools but we have had success building internal tools at our previous companies.

I’d appreciate any comments or lessons learned from similar companies selling physical products.

I moved to MRPeasy about 18 months ago from QB desktop enterprise mfg edition. Overall it’s a big improvement and I recommend it. Their support is very responsive and provides answers within 1 business day generally.

Would something like elevate.dev work?

Based in Denver. Looks like they do a lot of forecasting and warehousing data stuff.

You could use Microsoft Dynamics D365 Business Central ERP system. It has shopify connector and is a solid prosuct. I am Business Central consultant and developer and work companies as yours every day.
