I became a CTO. What's next?
So I managed to become a CTO. It's all there: interesting problems, remote work, corner office, very decent salary, etc. The ever so popular imposter syndrome kicked in resulting in some thoughts on whether anyone would want to hire me if this gig goes into a wall, etc. What I could do to improve myself in my current position?
Treat everyone so well that they are eager to work with you in the future; unreservedly recommend you to friends, coworkers, and strangers; etc.
Same as if you weren't a CTO.
Good luck.
Agree, secure your career, make a network at that level with people that may be interesting for the future (providers, investors, etc...)
take advantage of all education opportunities, especially if its covered by work. Harvard leadership classes never let anyone down.
Secure your career, isn't it obvious?
