What's the State of Autonomous Checkout?

Amazon has struggled to sell their JWO tech, and the autonomous checkout startups also have less stores than I thought they would by this point.

Recently tested a few Grabango stores, and they were less than 80% accurate and took about two hours to send me a receipt. Pathetic.

Is the autonomous checkout industry struggling or growing? Anyone know?
