Is it ok to use ChatGPT to translate a mobile game to many languages?

Does this violate ChatGPT's terms of usage?

Would App Store reviewers reject it?

FAQ says:

Can I use output from ChatGPT for commercial uses?

Subject to the Content Policy and Terms, you own the output you create with ChatGPT, including the right to reprint, sell, and merchandise – regardless of whether output was generated through a free or paid plan.

I asked ChatGPT and it seems to hold itself in somewhat higher regard:

Does it violate your terms of use to use translations you create in commercial products?

As an AI language model, I do not have terms of use or any legal authority to dictate the usage of my translations. However, my responses are provided under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC >BY-NC-SA 4.0) license, which allows for non-commercial use with attribution and the same license applied to derivative works. I think there was recently a (US) court decision ruling AI produced artefacts aren't copyrightable. As with all things legal: if you're only moderately sure and the thing you intend to do doesn't involve money or medical or potentially demeaning the local ruler and you're operating on a small scale: just try it out. Otherwise you'll have to ask a real lawyer in the jurisdiction you're located in in.
