Ryzen 5 vs. 6

I am currently undecided between two HP notebooks.

A ProBook with an AMD 5625U and an EliteBook with and AMD 6650U

Would you say the EliteBook was the wiser choice or does the newer processor not really make that difference?

Thanks

Also, I hate to sound like a spambot, but before you pull the trigger, I suggest taking a look at this thing: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-zephyrus-14-wqxga-120h...

The Asus seems to be the same price as that elitebook in the US, but (speaking from personal experience) it is built like a macbook and is hilariously powerful for a 14" laptop, even if you dont need the huge GPU. It also has a good linux community, and the battery will almost certainly outlast the elitebook in a power saving mode.

Two things:

- Yes, the 6650U is much better. It has newer graphics, newer video encode/decode, better io, more power saving features, support for faster memory, integrated wifi... pretty much the only thing thats the same is the specs of the cores, which is why it looks so similar on paper.

- *BUT* AMD butchered the 6000 series naming scheme. Some of the 6000 chips are rebranded 5000 and 4000 chips. If you find another 6000 model you like, you should look it up before assuming its "new."
