Thinkbook versus Probook

Apologies, I realise Hacker News may not be the best place to ask that question, but I didn't really manage to get an answer somewhere else.

I am currently in for a notebook and undecided between a Lenovo ThinkBook with an Intel 1235U and an HP ProBook with an AMD 5625U.

One important criteria is that the machine is quiet (= no fan) when there is no real load. Apart from that, would you say there's a significant difference in performance between those two?

Thanks

If you are looking for fanless, may I suggest an Asus Zephrus? They are designed for cooling a sustained 100W, so when you switch off the GPU + cap the CPU at 15W, they run fanless quite effortlessly and sip battery. Being able to run AI locally is nice, and they are cheaper than you would think in the US:

But of those two... probably the Lenovo? You can get really good task energy out of the 1235U efficiency cores, but you have to manage processes with processlasso (or aniancy on linux) to really leverage that.

I really like the AMD APUs, but the 5000 series feels a little longer in the tooth these days. The die is old, and the IGP is even older.
