Are there Falsehoods Programmers believe about opening hours formatting?


Every place I've ever lived the format for representing opening - closing times has been

Opening hour - Closing Hour.

I suppose in countries with different direction of text it will be

Closing Hour - Opening Hour.

But is there any localization problems with the use of the - sign as the separator?

Are there any other formatting issues in countries that I am unaware of for how opening hours are displayed?

I feel like this is definitely more of a question for designers rather than programmers, but I think you may have some issues in Chinese or other similar languages if they use Chinese characters over Arabic numerals in terms of readability.
