How do you deal with spring allergies?

I’m starting to experience the allergies now and I was wondering how do people here treat them

I got allergy shots for two years. These banished my asthma symptoms (I used to use a steroid inhaler but I am now drug-free, at least for asthma) and reduced my seasonal allergies such that I am only an occasional user of Fexofenadine.

I used to use Cetirizine on the advise of my allergist, which is supposedly non-drowsy, but I found it had strong enough CNS effects that I had severe withdrawal symptoms (worse than an SSRI) whenever I missed a pill. That got me to switch to Fexofenadine which has less effect on the CNS.

Claritin. As long as I take one every day during the period when whatever pollen I'm allergic to is prevalent, I have few or no problems. Luckily for me, my spring allergies seem to only run for about 3-4 weeks, starting sometime in March, and winding down by sometime in April.
