What sector would you recommend to someone applying for college today?

A lot of macro trends for society are happening and the world will change in the next 10 years, when someone applying for college today will be at the beginning of his career.What would HN recommend to be a good sector to focus on?

My cynical view of college is it&rsquo;s a way to get a piece of paper that serves as a ticket to just get in the door at an employer.I still think some engineering degree is the best because you learn how to consume and collate information and apply it solve problems. Once you refine problem solving skills it can be applied anywhere.
