Visiting Bay Area for the first time

- The tourist trap bike ride across the golden gate bridge is great

- have a picnic on golden gate park, weather permitting

- Don't miss the food scene in Oakland

- I like San Mateo too but I think I'm alone in this

- Tilden Park is a good day hike in the East Bay

- Cheese Board Pizza in Berkeley is excellent. Long lines but they move incredibly fast, so don't worry. Very generous with the slices.

- The coast south of San Francisco is very pretty if you have a car to drive down it. Lots of little pretty parks with good views. A bit cold right now for the beach, but there are hikes, and we have some redwoods.
