What do you do for small business insurance?

Question

For anyone who has a small business or is a freelancer, do you know of a simple way to get liability insurance?Ideally would be great if I didn&rsquo;t need to get on the phone and just do it all online. Everyone always tells me to call up some broker and I just don&rsquo;t want to deal with that. Nor do I want to pay a broker fee.

It's always a nuisance, especially as the underwriters tend to suddenly stop writing this kind of business for no obvious reason.Find yourself a good broker (not easy) and accept that they earn their fee. Ours twice in a row has hugely reduced our annual premiums for essentially unchanged cover AND switched us between providers when our last one suddenly stopped that line of business ... again!
