Were terrestrial or airborne lasers not possible? I’m no expert - would love to hear discussion on this.

Such a lot of hoo-haa over a balloon before it is properly investigated.
Look first, then shout if necessary. I will predict that it is just a normal disposable meteorological balloon that should have popped long-since instead of drifting for days.
Just more long-lived trash instead of being recycled in today's world.

They didn’t need to bring the balloon down at all. I guarantee every piece of circuitry being carried was fried as soon as it entered Alaska.
