How did you optimize your productivity over your career?


By productivity, I mean not only efficiency but also effectiveness.

I already went through GTD, to-do lists, and pomodoro techniques, so I would love to hear what worked best for you.

I returned to a simple to-do list on paper, my calendar, and a website blocker.

I like paper to-do lists. It is satisfying to cross things off and I think the process of occasionally recopying the list is a good way to keep track of what is on it. The physical size of the paper has the function of preventing you from making the list too long.
