Lisp on here is cyclical, arrives like a comet, showers us with articles about it, and leaves for months at a time. It's always a lovely sight.
We have had the Erlang days, that were so bad pg had to personally intervene.
Then there was the Bitcoin phase, and that also required a divine hand to stop it from getting out of hand.
Now it's another AI hype era, both in Computer Science and on this site. Have we reached maximum ChatGPT hype yet? For something so technologically advanced yet accessible to anyone, there awaits us a massive pile of written word on it for the foreseeable future, and personally, I have started to tune it out.
Personally I'm not interested in either chatgpt or front end, but at least AI/ML/whatever posts get people arm-chair philosophizing, which is interesting in itself.
Lisp comes like a shooting star, And leaves us all with new ideas to ponder. Erlang had its day, that's true But with PG's help, we made it through.
And Bitcoin, oh what a phase. A divine hand was needed to keep the craze. But now AI takes center stage. A massive pile of written words we must engage.
But don't let it all make you snooze. Take a break, read something new. For knowledge is what we all pursue. And in this endless ocean, we'll always find something new to do.
Imagine when it’s voice and physically interactive. I’d love to have a Boston robotics dog that I can talk to and work together. Or the bro robot who moves on two legs. Imagine a road trip with the dog and the bro. Bro.
