Why is number of Node.js jobs contrast to any development metric?

According to Linkedin search, worldwide location:

  Nodejs: ~100k
  Rails ~20k
  Django ~20k
  Laravel ~14k
This question aims at web development scope.

I have read all the nodejs downside, lack of establish frameworks, fragmentation, mess, relatively less feasible for business compared to other frameworks.

What's their technical leads thinking about?

Note that numbers might not be that accurate depending on Linkedin search algorithm.

Is your question: Why do the number of open NodeJS positions not correlate to the crap you hear about NodeJS applications?

I don’t know, but I assume there’s also a pay/skills gap that exists there, as a lot of those NodeJS jobs are going to be about keeping a CMS alive, whereas the rest of the frameworks you mention are old-school application frameworks.

Not saying NodeJS cannot be used to build more complicated things, it certainly can, but there’s also a large number of people only using NodeJS to build asset packs for static websites.
