Those of you recently laid of by a bigtech company (Microsoft, Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc), what was the reason you think they chose you? Age discrimination, sexual orientation, race, ideology, or ____________.

People got laid off cause companies are cutting costs and the laid off people got identified as non-essential for the company to continue growing / increase revenue.
If you're an all star player with high ROI that is hard to replace, chances are you are not laid off, and even if you are, it could be cause the entire department or project was shut down.
