Well there's a few sneaky dark patterns out there, but for totally evil I think the number #1 has to the software driving customer support and service phone lines (aka the phone menu,) deciding their service is just too good to bother with calls placed from landlines -- the objective is to drive even those calling from mobile phones to do it online ... sending a link via sms.
